Thank you for your interest in applying for the GTA Community Grants Program. This program sits within our Children, Youth & Families funding priority. We are looking for great projects that address two of our focus areas: Education and Economic Opportunities, and Food Security. We encourage applications from organizations rooted in the communities they serve.
Submitting A Budget and Supporting Documentation
All applicants must submit a budget detailing the expenses that the proposed funding will cover, only to be used in the direct delivery of the services and activities detailed in the application. Download and review our Budget Template – your organization may use this template or submit your own budget, if it follows the same format (Expense, Description, Cost, Funders, Total). Some expense items are ineligible for funding. Please refer to our List of Eligible and Ineligible Expenses for guidance.
For financial documents, please provide at least one of the following:
- Audited financial statements
- T2 return or T2 Short Form
- T1044
- CRA notice of assessment
You will also have the option to submit supporting documentation. Supporting documentation includes, but is not limited to:
- Annual report and/or impact report
- Reports on previous projects
- Letters of recommendation
- Photos of programs in action

Providing supporting documentation allows us to better understand your organization or community group and perform due diligence in alignment with the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
